Out of Nature
The subject matter can be plant or animal. The intent is to inspire thoughts of Spring and Summer. As always, no nude or suggestive art can be accepted. Entries for this show must be postmarked no later than February 28, 2009.

In Your Grocer's Freezer
In Your Grocer's Freezer will be concurrently opening.
Have you ever pondered the artistic merit of a carrot? Use your inner artist to portray items found "in your grocer's freezer" and other grocery items. Try packaging design, meals made with grocery items, and even the items themselves. How do you abstract an onion? Maybe you could demonstrate! Let your imagination and creativity flow; just don't knock over the fruit juice on the bottom shelf.
A catalog will be produced of this show. Best of Show and Awards of Excellence will be awarded.

General Information
The subject for our next show is Winter. And not just the season. It could be objects with the name Winter on them, a person or animal named Winter, or even what you would rather be doing in Winter!
No offensive, vulgar, or nude imagery will be chosen of course. Entries will be US $5 per entry, maximum 5. In fact, if you make a purchase from our Cafepress® store, make a copy of the receipt and attach it to your entry documents for one FREE entry (a $5 value)! Sorry, I have to limit the free entry to one per person, per receipt.

Awards
Best of Show: a solo exhibition housed in one of the online galleries for 3 months or US $75. Up to 12 works can be displayed in this exhibition (if you choose the exhibition).
The Baroque & Monet Award: a US $50 award (the title is a tiny bit of art humor).
The Banner Award: an image or images of your work become part of the banner for the next show!
Reflections Award (2): a copy of Jo Allen Publishing's 66: Impressions and Reflections.
Award of Excellence (multiple): a place in a four person group exhibition. Up to 3 works per artist can be displayed in this exhibition.
Award of Recognition: a Whistle Stop Gallery wall clock.
Other awards are planned. Each award winner will also receive a certificate. More entrants result in more awards!

Subject: Transportation
Any work about or including transportation and/or modes of transportation as a primary subject; or including transportation materials, equipment, or parts of either, is eligible.
Rules:
Artwork must be original; no duplicates or renderings of existing works are acceptable and will be excluded automatically if found.The artist must posses the artwork and/or copyright for the submitted works. An artist’s works must not be subject to prior contracts or obligations which would prevent their exhibition on the WSG web site.
Images of works must not be intentionally modified to misrepresent the works. Artists are encouraged to submit images close to the maximum size for the best possible image viewing experience. Artwork must NOT contain any partial and/or full nudity, and must also NOT contain imagery suggestive of such.
Image Specs:
Film and digital entries were allowed.
Fees:
$10 per entry number (multiple panel works do not pay multiple fees, only the one fee for the number. i.e. if you have slides 1A, 1B, 1C, 2, 3, 4 you will pay a total of $40)
A maximum of 5 entry numbers is allowed (under no circumstances should more than 5 images appear for any one entry number, or five two-image groups for three -dimensional works).

Apr.. 11, 2008 – EXTENDED entries must be received by this date
