Exhibition Statement for “Art of Lists”
I am a conceptual realist with a pop culture twist. I just love celebrating the familiar world around us, and finding connections that give these images new relevance, and a fresh perspective. Some have called it art with a sense of humor. I take that as a compliment, since I believe art should bring the viewer pleasure and expand preconceived notions. In almost every case, I have created original verse that accompanies the artwork. I have published 45 of these artistic and verbal combinations in a book called “Art of Lists.” I am currently working on a new volume called “Art of More Lists.”
